Textbooks @ Cairn

Purchasing Textbooks

Students are responsible for purchasing all required texts/resources for all courses.

Information regarding required texts/resources can be found in the following locations:

  • eCampus Store - most required texts/resources can be found on the eCampus Online bookstore. Access the eCampus Online Store here.
  • Syllabus - lists all required course texts, course pack, suggested resources, and links to Cairn Library resources. Syllabi can be found on eLearning.

For more information regarding purchasing textbooks see the Textbook Guide, created by the Masland Library.  Access Textbook Guide here

Resources @ the Library

The Masland Library provides many resources to students to support their academic goals.  However, the library does not purchase all required texts for courses.  The purchase of required texts is the responsibility of the Cairn student.

The following resources are available to assist students with determining if the Masland Library has access to specific resources:

  • Textbook Finder Tool - lists all resources the library is aware of that are required for a course.  Information provided includes:
    • Link to eCampus Online Store for purchasing
    • Masland Library Call Number - if physical copy of a resource is available through the library
    • eBook Link - link to accessing the electronic version of the resource if it is available through the library.
    • Click here to access the most current Textbook Finder Tool.
  • Reserves
    • All required course resources that the Masland Library owns in a physical form are placed on reserve each semester.
    • Books on reserve can be used in the library for 2 hours at a time.  Books on reserve cannot be taken to class.
    • Course reserve can be search via the Masland Library Catalog search on the Masland Library Website.  Search by course title, professor, course code, or resource title.  Click here to access the Masland Library Website.

Please remember the Masland Library does NOT have access to all required course texts.
