Write a story that speaks to a specific time, place, and event in our present historical "moment." While the story can have fictional characters, it should be based on real events. The story should serve to create a memorable and meaningful experience of that moment for the reader.
Length: 2500-3500 words
Text should be creative, clear, using an engaging active voice, displaying powerful and purposeful syntax with a moving and vivid plot
